Enedina Del Real

Enedina Ruvalcaba Del Real was born on July 29, 1959, in Jalpa, Zacatecas. She and her family later migrated to Mexicali, Baja California, when she was about five years old. There, she grew up surrounded by love with her parents and her eleven siblings. At the age of twelve, she met Fidel Del Real, who would later become her husband when she was just sixteen. Together, Enedina and Fidel dreamed of the American dream and decided to migrate to California for a better life. Not many people know this, but Enedina made that journey hidden in the trunk of a car — yes, the trunk — just to make that dream possible. They safely arrived in Fairfield, California, before welcoming their first son, Moises Del Real. They began building their lives and their family continued to grow. Fidel hoped for another son, but after many tries and throwing in the towel, they were blessed with five beautiful daughters. Each one was a blessing: Cecilia, the first baby girl, followed by Christina, Claudia, Enedina Jr. (Nena), and Eduvijes Jr. (Vicky), the baby of the family. Enedina and Fidel also welcomed a beautiful son, Jesus, who was granted his angel wings shortly after birth. In time, Enedina proudly became a grandmother to Cassandra, Celina, Moises Jr., Eduardo, Fidel Jr., Rickey, Italiah, and Victoria. She was also blessed with the title of great-grandmother to Ava Lynn, Adrian, and Abraham — with one more baby girl on the way. Enedina was an amazing grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and mother — and all the neighborhood kids would agree. She truly fed a village. She was loving, warm, and always had her arms open. If you needed the shirt off her back, she would give it to you without hesitation. Many of her nieces and nephews still say she was like a second mother. She was a protector and lets not forget to add, a nurse. Many people would remember her always carrying her big bag filled with first aid supplies, medications, and anything you might need. She was the life of the party — always the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave it. She could move that bote like no one else! Her favorite food was sushi, all-salmon sashimi combo to be exact. Her favorite candy was Almond Joy and pecan turtle chocolates. She loved horror movies, Halloween, and Christmas. She enjoyed each of those celebrations with a unique joy. And let’s not forget — she was a comedian with the quickest comebacks and the best dirty jokes ever! No matter what she was facing and the health condition she was in, Enedina remained positive and always wished the best for everyone around her. She had an incredible aura, and anyone who met her was lucky to have known her — she was that girl! When her family was asked to describe her in one word, they said: brave, feisty, loving, warrior, crazy, strong, hilarious, generous, incredible, and La Machín. We love you and will miss you beyond words, La Gran Señora.
