Kathleen Rockwell

Kathleen Susan Rockwell was born in Riverside California, February 8, 1948 one of two children to William Franklin and Audrey Mae Straight. She attended Armijo High School in Fairfield and then onto San Francisco State. Kathy was very close to her parents. And just like her father, she was a woman of many jokes and one liners. She entertained many with her sharp witted sense of humor. From a very young age, she had the ability to make friends everywhere she went. Kathy and her mom became avid Warriors basketball fans and enjoyed many games together over the years. At the age of 14 Kathy met a young man who would later become her husband. In 1972 at the age of 24 Kathy married Denny Rockwell. The wedding took place on the beach in Carmel. Kathy spent many years at the yellow pages where she was an outstanding sales rep and sales manager. A well respected professional loved by her peers and sales crew. She also spent 5 years in Africa for AT&T that changed her life and brought many new lifelong friends. Her most recent endeavor was with California Mentor where she assisted individuals with various disabilities live in private, family homes. A career she enjoyed greatly. Kathy was a woman of many talents. Painting, woodwork, gardening and her amazing talent for gift wrapping. She worked on her beautiful home in Fairfield for many years and finally with a big renovation just a few years ago. It was her pride and joy. She hosted many holidays, parties and weddings. Kathy lived with love and integrity. She was kind and attentive. Her generosity was limitless. She believed in hard work and enjoyed all the good things in life that came of it. She shared many of her life stories with those she loved and great conversations that will be greatly missed. Kathy is survived by her mother Audrey who is 94 years old and resides in Redding. Her sister Patricia Straight. Her nephew Patrick, his wife Cindy and their 5 children who are the love of her life. Paul, Andrew, Tyler, Isaac and Kaia. Her nephew Nick and his wife Davina. Her step son Denny and his wife Denise. Her step grandchildren Cynthia. Jonathon and his wife Jessie and step great-grandchildren, Rosemary and Orion.
